Shirley's
Family
Genealogy began on
her father's side with Ludwig Frederick Schutz (later changed to
Schuetz) and Maria Catherina Golter, both of whom were born in Germany
in the early 1700s. The exact dates of birth, date and place of
marriage, and arrival in America are unknown. Her mother's side began
with Christian Krattinger (later changed to Crotinger), but the first
known dates are with Henry Crotinger who was born in 1750.
Vernon's
Family Genealogy began with George Schneider (later changed
to Snider
and Snyder) who was born in Germany in 1754 and Catherine Dillon who
was born in Germany in 1750. They were married in 1779 near Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania. His mother's side began with Joshua and Eleanor
Hightower, dates and places of birth and marriage are unknown. Their
son, John Hightower, was born in 1692 and married Mary Bryan in 1718.
