does damage to the computer it's on, often hidden inside an apparently
benign program.

infector. It will erase CMOS or system setup information.

infector. It looks for one specific .EXE file to corrupt.

This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
5) Cascade.1701
This is a File infector.
This virus gives the appearance of falling letters.
6) Form Partition
This is a Boot Record infector.
You will see a considerable memory decrease.
7) Jack Ripper
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a slow corruption of your hard disk.
8) Jumper
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
9) Junkie
This is a Multi-Partite.
Common symptoms are .COM and .EXE sizes will increase and your Boot will
become infected.
10) Keypress.1216
This is a File infector.
Look for keystrokes to repeat unexpectedly.
11) NATAS
This is a Multi-Partite.
This virus will create corruption of your system hard disk.
12) NYB
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
13) Parity Boot
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will receive a "Parity Check" message and system
hang.
14) Sampo
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
15) Satan_Bug
This is a File infector.
Common symptoms is that your .COM and .EXE sizes will increase.

This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
17) Stoned.Angelina
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a considerable memory decrease.
18) Stoned.Empire Monkey
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. You will see a memory decrease. It also encrypts the partition
table.
19) Stoned.Michelangelo
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. This virus will format your Hard Drive on March 6... of every
year.
20) V-Sign
This is a Master Boot Record
infector. This virus displays a large "V" on the screen.
