The Historical Society was established to preserve the history of Republic County.

It is really busy here at the Museum! This month we will be overran with 21 third through fifth graders!  This years camp is on Immigration!  They will be making journals (a real live book!), learning to quilt and a whirlygig! They will also be trying ethnic foods from throughout Republic County too!   Sounds like a fun time!!!!! Don't you wish you  could come too?

Adults: $3.00
Children 10- 16: $1.00

Anyone interested in Republic County history is welcome to join us.

Meetings are the first Monday of the month.
April through September at 7:30 p.m.
October through March at 5:30 p.m.
at the Republic County  Historical Society Museum.

 

 
 A NEW ADDITION.....
 
The Museum will be adding yet another building onto the Museum grounds!
The ground has been leveled and we will be setting a foundation down to move a 1924 barn onto the grounds.  It will be placed by the Log Cabin and Limestone Smokehouse. 
 
 
 
The two story barn will be moved in from the Courtland area.
